Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion for sprinting at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition she was ranked among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix completed high school in 2003 and became a part of Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. defended her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes in each of her events.
